| Our Services
We provide a wide range of applied behavior analysis services and supports to persons with learning or behavioral difficulties. We also work with families, educators, and other caregivers. Services are provided in the home, school, and community. We serve persons of all ages. We are available to clients in Florida, other states, and countries. Services include: Evaluation During the evaluation, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or a Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst (BCABA) will interview the parents or caregivers, and observe your child. The evaluator will also interact with your child and try different strategies to determine areas of strength and weakness. The evaluator will make recommendation regarding the intensity of services needed. A BCBA or a BCABA will conduct the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills to determine your child’s level of skills in the areas of language and beginning learner skills. A BCBA or a BCABA will conduct the functional behavioral assessment to determine the environmental variables that affect and maintain the target problem behaviors, so as to develop effective behavior intervention plans to change the target behaviors. During 1:1 therapy, a behavior analyst or a therapist will work with your child to teach a variety of skills that your child needs to learn such as language skills, beginning learner skills, social and play skills, self care skills, and academic skills. The behavior analyst or the therapist will also work on reducing any problem behaviors your child exhibits such as tantrums and aggression. Parent training will be conducted during the sessions. The behavior analyst will also consult with the parents regarding any concerns. The behavior analyst can design a home program for you to implement. A behavior therapist can go to your child’s school to assist your child in being successful in the classroom. The therapist will work with the teacher to gradually fade the 1:1 assistance, so that your child can be independent in the classroom. During the groups, the therapist will work with your child on increasing social interaction, sharing, turn taking, playing with other children, and specific social skills that are age appropriate. This is a short term program to address your child’s specific issues such as dental phobia, toilet training, eating problem, fear of hair cuts, nail clipping, etc. The behavior analyst will work with you and your child in achieving success in these specific areas. The behavior analyst will work with your child in settings such as the dentist’s office, hair salon, etc. This program is designed for families who would like to run their own home ABA programs. This five-day program is conducted at our clinic for 6 hrs per day and for 5 consecutive days. During the program, the behavior analyst will evaluate your child, conduct therapy with your child, set up programs, train you or your own therapists to implement the programs so that you can start your home program right away. Follow up consultations are provided at a frequency mutually agreed. This program is designed for families that live in other states or countries. Our consultant can travel to your home to provide consultation and program supervision. The consultant will visit you for 2 or 3 days every 3 months or at a mutually agreed interval. During the visits, the consultant will evaluate your child’s progress, set up programs, make program changes, and train your therapists in implementing the programs. Between visits, consultation will be provided through phone, email, and video review. We offer free and fee-based training seminars for parents and other professionals on various topics relating to applied behavior analysis, autism, or other developmental disabilities. The seminars are open to anyone who is interested in participating. Please visit our free parent training and hands-on training web page or call our office at (407) 678-8889 for dates and topics. We will supervise individuals pursuing BCBA or BCABA certification as required by the certification board to meet the requirements. |
